 I have studied English and literature at University of Damascus. I have an Associate degree from Butler Community College, and have taken several courses at the Education Department of Wichita State University. I have been teaching Quran and Islamic Studies at Annoor Islamic School since 1996 till present. I have experienced the growth of Annoor Islamic School, and alhamdullila I have been able to take part in its progress and continuing success. 

 


 

QIA - Arabic teacher

For the past 11 years, Maha has served as an Arabic teacher in Wichita, Kansas at Annoor Islamic School. She holds herself to the highest of standards by attending various educational workshops, and gaining her Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education from Butler Community College. Maha is certified on Nuraniyeh teaching from Al Huda University of Houston, TX. 
Teaching a foreign language is not easy, however, Maha has worked with grades ranging from pre-school to high school. To further her professional career, Maha has attended instructional workshops like Chicago’s ISNA Educational Forum on Arabic workshops, for many years, Al Ghazali’s Tarbiya Tutorial, and Derby’s Common Core workshop. She received two Aldeen Foundation Awards for reading and vocabulary core through a fifteen hour Arabic language professional development workshop. Every year, Maha works on enriching students’ abilities to gain knowledge by using new technology, journaling to improve writing skills, and coordinating the first ever spelling bee program and Arabic plays. Her goal is to provide the best understanding of the Arabic language and to help her students learn and enjoy the beauty of the language of the Quran. Maha loves her work and is proud to see how this special Islamic school continues to grow. She looks forward to seeing how the students will lead successful lives as leaders, and become contributing citizens, and leaders of the righteous to society. 

 

Fatima Ali will be returning to Annoor Islamic School to teach the children the blessed word of Allah (SWT). She received her first ijazah certification from the Noble Quran Sunnah EST. In 2006 she worked for the Sharjah Government. She is more than qualified with the Quran as she received her memorization certificate in 2010. Between 2010-2013 she served at the International School of Creative Science as the main Quran teacher. After working at the International School of Creative Science, Fatima completed her ijazah in Quranic Memorization in 2014. In addition to being well versed in the Quran, she is certified in Noraniah teaching that she received from Houston at Huda University in 2016. To further he knowledge, Fatima has attended multiple workshops under Dr. Hamed Al-Gazali and a workshop through Al-Bidayah in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She is excited to be teaching the bright students of the future at Annoor, and looks forward to the upcoming school with great anticipation.
